BURLINGTON, Ont. If local experience is any indicator, then job opportunities in the skilled trades will continue to rise. That’s the reason for the upcoming Skilled Trades and Manufacturing Job Fair to be held on Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. A joint initiative between The Centre for Skills Development & Training (The Centre) and Apprenticesearch.com, the event features employers with active hiring needs.
“We felt it was important to offer this type of focused event – one that strictly caters to filling the skilled trades workplace gaps.” said Jason Linton, CAO, The Centre. “We deal with hundreds of employers in Halton and Mississauga and finding enough ready-to-work people at all levels continues to be a challenge.”
Hiring opportunities include:
- General labour
- Tool and Die makers
- Mechanical assemblers
- CNC programmers
