Why Hire a Centre Grad?

The Centre is a leading provider of career and workforce development programs in the Halton Region including our Skilled Trades Training Programs.  Each year, we serve over 50,000 clients and organizations, including over 200 students who graduate from our pre-apprenticeship programs.

Preparing our students to enter the workforce is an important part of our programs. The training that students at The Centre receive is fast-paced and comprehensive; this prepares our graduates to enter the workforce with a current and relevant skill set.  We prepare our students for a smooth transition into the workplace by providing extensive hands on training in essential areas as well as safety training including Fall Arrest, CPR/First Aid and Hilti.

Once our students have successfully completed their training, we assist them in finding paid employment.  In order to be eligible for Job Search Assistance a student must demonstrate that they have mastered the core essentials of the training and proven to be reliable by attending classes regularly and on-time.

We work with employers and companies of all sizes to help them connect with skilled, qualified and prescreened applicants.

There is NO FEE for us to match you with candidates that meet your company’s needs. We always have graduates that are looking for entry level work in the Construction, Electrical and Manufacturing trades.

“Naylor has recently hired four graduates of the Electrical Pre-Apprenticeship Program offered by The Centre for Skills Development & Training. The graduates have all been enthusiastic and well prepared for working in the electrical construction trade. We are pleased to see that our government has implemented a training program that encourages young people to enter the construction trades that are in desperate need to find future motivated employees” – Kim Flieger (Manager, Human Resources
Naylor Group Inc.)
