BURLINGTON, Ont. A new CAO has been hired for The Centre for Skills Development & Training (The Centre). Effective July 20, 2015, Jason Linton will assume the leadership position for the not-for-profit Halton District School Board corporation that provides training and employment-focused services.
As the lead for the hiring team, Anne-Marie Harte, Centre Board of Directors noted that: “This was a unique position due to a business model that serves the interests of adult and continuing education while requiring an entrepreneurial approach to meet funder demands. Jason’s breadth of knowledge and extensive experience in several business lines of The Centre – Employment Ontario, settlement and English as a Second Language services make him the ideal candidate to assume this role.”
“I’m looking forward to working with The Centre,” said Linton, “I have watched the organization evolve and grow over the past 20 years and my focus will be on continuing to improve the client experience through an integrated service delivery system.”
Linton will leave his position as the Regional Director for Catholic Crosscultural Services in Peel Region. Previously he worked with vpi Inc. and held progressively responsible senior management positions in the non-profit sector.
