Free Wi-Fi for clients of The Centre
The Centre’s guest wireless (Wi-Fi) network is open to all clients free of charge at our Burlington, Milton and Oakville sites. Getting online is simple: all you need is a wireless-enabled laptop computer, tablet or other device and the passkey entered by a staff member.
Wi-Fi Service Limitations and Disclosures
Users of the wireless internet service are bound by the terms of The Centre’s Rules of Conduct. Staff members will not enter the passkey for users unless they agree to these terms and conditions, and sign the appropriate form.
We cannot guarantee that The Centre’s wireless network is secure; we cannot guarantee the safety of your traffic across the wireless network. The Centre is not responsible for data transmitted or loss of information over the wireless network. Users should be aware that third parties may be able to obtain information about users’ activities when using the wireless service connected to the internet. The Centre assumes no responsibility for the security and privacy of online transactions.
Wireless users are responsible for the protection of their devices from viruses, spyware, malware and spam.
Assuming that the laptop is configured in a standard way, staff members will provide basic instructions on how to connect to our network and will enter the guest passkey for you. However, staff members are not able to provide technical assistance, and there is no guarantee that you will be able to make a wireless connection. The Centre is not responsible for the safety of equipment or for changes you make to laptop configurations. If you need further assistance, please contact the manufacturer of your laptop or software.
Printing is not available from the wireless connection.
